Your pulse is accelerating. Beams, boxes, zigzags and L-shaped blocks fall relentlessly from above. You quickly rotate, move and align shapes, then position them for a perfect fit. This version of the Tetris game is one of the many variations of the classic Tetris, and also the most famous (but not the only) version on Nintendo's first home console. The goal is to place falling four-tile pieces into a ten-by-twenty well, grouping them into whole rows that will then disappear. When a row is cleared, the pace of the game increases. The game ends when the top of the well is reached.

There are two different modes: "Type A" and "Type B". "Type A" is a standard endless mode in which the game speed increases every ten lines, with a choice of starting level. "Type B" is a 25-line race with options to slow down and start trash. In both modes, victory is rewarded with cute animations. There are also three different background melodies to choose from.
